Members write a $100 check to a mutually-selected local charity at the end of each quarterly networking event. The combination of these checks makes a substantial targeted impact on the chosen organization, which receives 100% of the proceeds.

HOW IT WORKS
Members commit to meet quarterly for a 90-minute “happy hour” event, with complimentary food, drink, and entertainment underwritten by that evening’s sponsor. Each member is given the opportunity to nominate one local 501(c)(3) organization that could greatly benefit from a one-time infusion of combined financial contributions.
Three of these nominations are randomly selected for a three-minute presentation detailing the reasoning behind the potential support of the group, given by the nominating member. For a charity to be eligible, all funds must be 100% directed toward the Lincoln area. Members vote for the organization they deem most deserving, and at the meeting’s conclusion, each member writes a direct $100 check to the selected local charity, for an annual individual donation total of $400. If 200 members show up, then $20,000 is raised, with $0 spent on operations or administration.
